I liked Mercure Tokyo Hibiya’s cinema-inspired design and its location for exploring Shimbashi, Hibiya and Ginza. My stay was soon after the hotel opened, so some room details may have changed since then. Guest rooms were renovated in 2026.
MY ROOM
My room was compact and very dark, even during the day. I found it awkward to work because there wasn’t a desk or table, though I liked the overall design and the view. There were USB ports, but I didn’t find a universal plug.
LOUNGE AND LOCATION
The lounge was a pleasant surprise: during my stay it offered drinks through the afternoon and evening, with snacks later on. I appreciated it as a guest who drinks, though the snacks alone wouldn’t have made a meal. I didn’t manage to have breakfast during my stay, so I can’t review it firsthand. Shimbashi was a short walk away, and I found the area a useful base for Ginza and central Tokyo.
MY VERDICT
I’d consider it for its location and distinctive style, especially for a longer stay around Shimbashi and Ginza. I’d check the current room layout and renovated bathroom details before booking, because my review reflects the original room I experienced.
