Mercure Tokyo Haneda Airport Review: My Tokyo Go-To for Value

After my first stay, I returned to Mercure Tokyo Haneda Airport and spent seven nights there across the start and end of a Japan trip. It became my Tokyo go-to when I wanted good value, helpful service and easy airport access.

THE HOTEL AND ROOM

The hotel opened in 2023 and felt modern and carefully designed, with an artistic lobby, flight information board and a small bar. I stayed in two room types: one with a bath after an upgrade, and another without a bath but with a better view on the 11th floor. I found the rooms tidy and comfortable. Room amenities varied between my stays.

BREAKFAST AND FACILITIES

I enjoyed the breakfast, which mixed Japanese and Western dishes, and the gym had good equipment. The staff were helpful; on a later stay they had even placed an Amazon delivery in my room before I arrived. There are convenience stores, restaurants and a station nearby.

WHO I’D RECOMMEND IT TO

I’d choose Mercure Haneda for an early flight, a longer stay at a lower rate or when I’m happy to travel into the centre. For my trip, Shibuya took around 45 minutes by train, so I wouldn’t make it my only base for a short first visit focused on central and west Tokyo.
