A polished city-centre stay with a memorable lounge, a good pool and a room that felt smaller than I expected.
The room I stayed in
I filmed this review in an Executive Floor room. It was compact, but the finish felt fresh and polished, and I appreciated the deep bath, separate shower, Japanese washlet toilet and the city view. I could also choose from a surprisingly detailed pillow menu. The room was one of the renovated categories I had seen at the Conrad; it is worth checking the room type when you book because not every room has the same finish.
Lounge, breakfast and facilities
The Executive Lounge was one of the strongest parts of my stay: spacious, beautifully decorated and wrapped around broad Bangkok views. It never felt crowded when I visited. I did not try the evening food on that trip, so I cannot judge the full cocktail-hour spread. Breakfast was tasty, especially the noodles and eggs Benedict, though the selection did not quite have the wow factor I expected. I also liked the generous pool and well-equipped gym.
Getting around
The hotel is close to Sukhumvit and Nana, with a complimentary shuttle to Ploenchit BTS. That made it a practical base for the city, even though I did not step straight onto a train from the lobby.
My verdict
I would return for the service, lounge, facilities and central location, but I would book for the room category I actually want rather than count on a suite upgrade. Across several stays I have not received a suite upgrade here, so I treat one as a bonus, not a plan.
